Aeroscreens
XKC 003 had a single driver's aeroscreen. This was the same type fitted to XK120 competition cars. It consisted of a brass channel with cast bosses for the pivots, polished and chromed. It locked in position with a single butterfly lock nut.
About time this blog had some comments, especially as 2011 is the 60th anniversary of C types at the greatest British motor race.
Excellent looking project Jeremy, with your usual attention to detail. I just hope the authenticity doesn't extend to fragile oil feed pipes in the bottom end.
